The deregulation and globalisation of the energy sector in an ever more complex and changing world introduces uncertainty. Although this presents exciting new opportunities for business growth and expansion, it also implies increased volatility.
A risk is the threat of any event, action or lack of action that may impede the Iberdrola Group from successfully achieving its objectives and carrying out its strategies. And we’re the independent Risk Management Team that identifies, measures, handles and controls all of the risks inherent in the energy management business. These policies and procedures outline the guidelines and principles which ensure robust risk management.
We work very closely with the Group’s Risk & Control Teams in Spain to monitor and measure risks. This integrated approach allows these risks to be aggregated with the risks in other Iberdrola businesses to enable an Iberdrola Group wide view of risks to be taken.
We’re responsible for defining, establishing and maintaining our Enterprise Risk Management framework in accordance with best practice principles. This framework defines the risk limits for all of ScottishPower’s operations across Energy Wholesale, Energy Retail, Energy Networks and our Corporate functions.
We offer a diverse range of career opportunities including Quantitative, Credit and Risk Analysts, as well as Quantitative Risk Analysts and Market Risk Analysts. Check out current ScottishPower opportunities.
