A highly innovative team at the heart of ScottishPower, we maintain and develop a healthy and robust IT infrastructure, as well as the IT tools that enable our businesses to optimise their performance.
Our Master Plan is to create simpler, faster and more effective IT. We’ll achieve this by simplifying our systems and delivering a single consolidated IT platform for the Group. Through taking advantage of the synergies between Iberdrola and ScottishPower, we’re establishing an innovative and highly effective model for deploying IT across the Group.
Providing vital support to the business, our expertise encompasses Business Analysis, Programme & Project Management, Application Support and Customer Relationship Management.
Business-facing, we support our Generation, Energy Management and Renewables businesses by providing application expertise and dealing with all aspects of business application software and IT solution delivery.
We provide vital support to our business areas through Business Analysis, Programme & Project Management and Web Services.
We manage the core infrastructure that supports main business applications. Specialising in Central Systems, Desktop & Distributed Systems and Networks & Internet, we deliver improvement projects and provide ongoing technical support.
We’re split into two work streams. Business Services is responsible for ensuring that service delivery from all suppliers is aligned to customer needs. Whilst Operations manages the support delivered by 3rd party support providers through incident, problem and change management.
We provide financial management and commercial expertise to support the delivery of ITBS objectives.
As well as constantly modifying and improving our infrastructure and technology within our existing structure, we’re challenged with ensuring that all of our IT systems are robust and totally secure.
To maintain our competitive edge in a highly competitive market we need to constantly move forward. Which means that our work can be highly complex as we introduce new IT applications, tools and upgrades that are fully compatible with our existing IT structure.
We offer a variety of career opportunities ranging from application support and analysing network performance to supporting individual PC users and ensuring a healthy operational IT network. Our work also involves researching and introducing new technologies into the current ScottishPower IT infrastructure, and ensuring that they are compatible with current applications.
Our IT Teams are predominately based in Cathcart, Glasgow and Mossend, Lanarkshire.
