Responsible for maintaining and improving every aspect of our network and technical operations from power station to plug, we’re a diverse team of trade specialists who ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Our Industrial Team maintains, develops and improves our electricity transmission and distribution network. Careers include:
Cable Jointers: We work primarily on our extensive electrical underground cable network, faultfinding and installing and maintaining connections over a range of voltages.
Electrical Fitters: We install, maintain and replace switchgear, transformers and isolators across a range of voltages to control, protect and monitor electricity flow.
Overhead Linespeople: With a good head for heights, we install and repair overhead lines to maintain power transmission, distribution and the supply network.
Tradesperson’s Mate: This role involves supporting and working alongside Fitters, Jointers and Linespeople to maintain quality and safety standards.
Our Industrial Team maintains and improves a generating portfolio that includes coal, gas and hydro-electric power stations. Careers include:
Control & Instrument (C&I) Fitters: We’re responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of all control equipment at our power stations.
Mechanical Fitters: We carry out both breakdown and preventative maintenance on a diverse range of plant and equipment.
Technicians: Based at our power plants, we fault find, make improvements and maintain a diverse range of equipment.
