Hear about how we work from some of our employees.

Working as part of a small team at one of our power plants, you’d play a key role in helping us to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of electricity to meet business objectives and the expectations of our customers. Enjoying plenty of variety, you’ll develop a broad range of technical, process and procedural skills through mentorship, classroom based training and learning on the job.
Receiving excellent support every step of the way, you’ll also learn how to manage your own workload and access, evaluate and analyse information before making reasoned judgements and overcoming challenges to time constraints and high quality standards. Your role will involve faultfinding, making improvements and maintaining equipment both on and off site, often close to electrical equipment to strict health and safety guidelines.
As well as gaining an in-depth understanding of power plant operations as part of a friendly and professional team, you’ll help to maintain a wide range of plant equipment across the site, learning new skills and developing the expertise you need to progress your career.
Well organised, customer focused and a strong team player, you should be a creative problem solver and confident communicator with the ability to work on your own initiative. Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you should also have the flexibility to work out of hours where required. Above all you must have a practical approach and be always willing to learn new skills.
