However, there’s much more to ScottishPower than first meets the eye. We’re the UK's leading supplier of green energy products to domestic and business customers. And we’re part of one of the world’s largest energy companies by market capitalisation.

At the forefront of innovation, we’re involved in major engineering challenges from wind farms and hydro-electric power to tidal turbines and gas power stations. We also offer a diverse range of career opportunities across Energy Networks, Energy Wholesale, Energy Retail and our Corporate Team. Our renewable energy is provided by our sister company, ScottishPower Renewables which is part of the larger Iberdrola Group.

Exciting times

In 2007 the successful integration of ScottishPower and Iberdrola created one of the world’s largest electricity companies. It heralded an exciting new beginning with many new milestones, including:

• Significantly investing in sustainable generation projects and environmental technologies.
• Launching the UK’s largest energy crop project.
• Embarking on a major study into cleaner coal generation.
