Delivering vital support to all ScottishPower businesses, we provide specialist expertise and an essential infrastructure. Responsible for driving improvements, maximising performance and ensuring that everything runs smoothly, we cover a variety of disciplines including Information Technology, Finance, HR, Purchasing and Risk Management - to name but a few.
Our Human Resources Team is responsible for providing efficient and effective support to all ScottishPower line managers, employees and job applicants. To ensure that we always provide quality recruitment and employment experiences, the team recently embarked on a journey to transform the way we support our ‘customers’ across the whole of the UK.
This involved implementing a range of new business processes to improve everything from claiming overtime and expenses to managing absence and performance. We also enhanced the way we view and change personal information and streamlined systems for advertising and applying for job opportunities. All of these improvements were underpinned by a £multi-million investment in leading edge Human Resources & Payroll software.
Involving people from HR, Payroll, IT, Finance and external suppliers, this project has had a significant impact on the way we all operate. And to ensure the project’s success and a smooth transition of change for our people, we engaged with and worked closely with key representatives throughout the company.
Such large-scale projects don’t happen every day. But we’re always driving forward new projects in Corporate Business Services as we constantly seek to improve our processes, systems and support services.
